Strategy ImageStacking Order

    Courtesy of Celevagor:

How to know what your "stacks" are. Very simply put a stack is one group of an attacking or defending force.
    If I have:

    2000 mind rippers
    800 liches
    1000 Archangels
    30,000 knights
    1800 unicorns
    18,000 ghouls
    35 water elementals
    30 ice elementals
    200 vampires
    750 hydra

Then each group constitutes one stack. The 2000 mind rippers are one stack as are the 800 liches.
How to know what order your stacks are in.
Each unit has a power rating. For instance mind rippers are power 1054, Ghouls are 35, knights 23, liches 2027, Archangels 750, unicorns 375, water elementals 19406, ice elementals 21800, vampires 2058, and hydra 457. Simply multiply the unit power by the number of units in a given stack to discover the stacks power. Given that, my stacking power would look like:

    Mind rippers 2000*1054=2,108,000
    Liches 800*2027=1,621,600
    Archangels 1000*750=750,000
    Knights 30,000*23=690,000
    unicorns 1800*375=675,000
    Ghouls 18,000*35=630,000
    Water ele. 35*19,406=679,210
    Ice ele. 30*21,800=654,000
    vampires 200*2058=411,600
    hydra 750*457=342,750

Only if it was so simple. Now it is necessary to know whether each unit is flying, melee, or ranged. Look up each unit in the encyclopedia and it will tell you if a unit is flying or not as one of it's special abilities. Also look at the primary attack. (The secondary attack is meaningless for stacking calculations.) If the primary attack does not say "RANGED" in it then it is considered a melee attack for this stacking purposes.

    Mind rippers: ranged
    Liches: ranged
Archangels: flying (Also melee but flying takes precedence over melee and ranged.)
    Knights: melee
    Unicorns: melee
    Ghouls: melee
    water ele.: ranged
    ice ele.: ranged
vampires: flying (Again melee as well but flying takes precedence.)
    Hydra: melee
Significance of flying, ranged, and melee.
Flying troops recieve a multiplier of *2.25 for stacking purposes.
Melee troops recieve a multiplier of *1.5 for stacking purposes.
    Ranged troops recieve no modifiers.
Applying the above modifiers to each stacks power we will discover how it stacks up against my other units.

Mind rippers 2,108,000 (no modifiers for ranged troops)
    Liches 1,621,600
    Archangels 750,000*2.25=1,687,500
    Knights 690,000*1.5=1,035,000
    Unicorns 675,000*1.5=1,012,500
    ghouls 630,000*1.5=945,000
    water ele. 679,210
    ice ele. 654,000
    vampires 411,600*2.25=926,100
    hydra 342,750*1.5=514,125
    What all this means. Finally!
When you attack an opponent or defend against an attack. Your stack with the highest modified power attacks or defends against your opponents highest stack. Your second against his second and so on. In the end this all results in several different matchups which each result in a separate battle. The sum total of each individual battle determines the overall result.

The order of my stacking would be as follows:
    1) Mind Rippers
    2) Archangels
    3) Liches
    4) Knights
    5) Unicorns
    6) Ghouls
    7) Vampires
    8) Water elementals
    9) Ice elementals
    10) Hydra

    Reinforcements
What you send as reinforcements is determined as follows. Your 3rd-5th stacks in order of power can be sent as reinforcements. (For reinforcement purposes whether a unit is flying, ranged, or melee has no bearing.) It is therefore possible to send your top stack or your 9th stack as reinforcements.

I could send the following as reinforcements:
    Archangels
    Knights
    Water ele.
Note that for combat these are my 2nd, 4th, and 8th stacks respectively. They are however, my 3rd, 4th, and 5th most powerful stacks.
